ICCC’s New Board

The new Board will elect the President, the Executive Committee and allocate directors’ portfolios on Monday 18 October. These decisions will be announced on Tuesday 19 October 2021 to members, stakeholders and sponsors.

Ripudaman established ICC Canada Immigration Solutions Inc. to help new immigrants easily settle into a better life in Canada. His entrepreneurial zeal led him to launch Guru restaurant in 2013 in Heartland. His affinity for public service inspired him to start Radio Dhun, Ontario’s first multicultural and multilingual radio station, and in 2017 he acquired Radio 1220AM that reaches audiences from Ottawa to St. Catherines. The International Fashion Festival Toronto he launched in 2014 promotes local designers. Ripudaman is an active philanthropist and was the Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario’s candidate in 2018 and a candidate of record for Brampton North.

Virender Rathi is the President of Xcent Lawyers LLP. He is a versatile lawyer who specializes in immigration and real estate. Virender graduated from Osgood Hall Law School. He is a member of the Law Society of Ontario, Canadian Bar Association, Ontario Bar Association, and CASAL. A strong votary of community service, he dedicates time and resources to the Indo-Canadian community in Greater Toronto Area. He is strongly committed to the community and is actively involved in many NFPs including the ICCC.

Rakesh Joshi is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada and is a practicing lawyer in Toronto. He is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and Director of the Canadian Association of South Asian Lawyers. Engaged mainly in Real Estate Law and Corporate Law, Rakesh has handled a high volume of transactions successfully to the utmost satisfaction of his clients. He was decorated with the prestigious Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal. He is on the panels of prestigious print media houses and community organizations in Toronto and GTA as their Legal Advisor/ Member Advisory Board. He is a member of the Brampton School Traffic Safety Council.

Since 2006, Vikas has been the President and Owner of a post-industrial plastics recycling company in Toronto, Canada. The firm specializes in trading a wide variety of secondary fiber, post-industrial plastics, and raw materials to build the efficiency and profitability of its customers' recycling operations. Vikas has significant experience in international trade and over the last two decades, Vikas has exported to China, India, Vietnam, Mexico, and the USA. He specializes in Indian and North American trade.

Vikas is the President and Founder of the Care4Cause Foundation, which offers dignity, compassion, and respect to individuals suffering poverty and unfortunate circumstances. Vikas joined the Tiger Jeet Singh Foundation in 2019 as Director and worked on expanding its Christmas Miracle on Main Street toy drive charity event to Brampton.

Murarilal Thapliyal is a Managing Partner of Thapliyal & Rai Law Firm, a boutique law firm in Brampton, ON. He was called to the bar in 2007. As a renowned lawyer, he prides himself in serving the needs of the people and communities in the Greater Toronto Area for over a decade. He has worked for the cause of vulnerable seniors, women, and at-risk youth.

As a sports enthusiast, Mr. Thapliyal devotes resources to promote various sports especially cricket. He is the Founder and President of the UK Warriors Cricket Club Canada as well as President of the Canadian School of Cricket, Canada. He is a pioneer lawyer for Global T20 (GT20) in Canada. Mr. Thapliyal is at the forefront of many volunteering groups and donation campaigns by being the President of the THAPLIYAL FOUNDATION CANADA.

Sanjay Kulkarni is the CEO and President of Sankul Enterprises Inc., a boutique firm providing CFO services and business value advice to small and medium-sized companies. He has been a Vice President and Director of the Indo-Canada Chamber of Commerce. Sanjay is a CA(I), CS(I), CMA, CPA, CFA, and Chartered Director. With years of experience as a CFO of medium-sized enterprises, he is a problem-solving leader with the ability to affect change by formulating strategy and business models, business analytics, optimizing capital structure, in-depth business valuations, and identifying/resolving critical issues.

Arvind Bhardwaj is CEO of Go Brands Communications. He is a former Vice President and Director of the Indo-Canada Chamber of Commerce. Arvind is a sales and marketing professional with over two decades of proven track record in media and retail sales. He has expertise in human resources, performance-oriented team building, and training in media sales and retail sales and operations.

Chirag Shah, a young technocrat who has rapidly scaled peaks of technological achievements by constantly striving to serve clients beyond their expectations. He is a former Director of the Indo-Canada Chamber of Commerce (2018–19). His company, SUBHTECH SOLUTIONS INC., focuses on adopting innovative approaches to clients’ needs. Chirag is actively involved in advising high net worth individuals and businesses in Canada and India through his boutique consulting and advisory service VAYAM MANTU ADVISORS INC. A firm believer in giving back to the Canadian society, and to the Indo-Canadian community, Chirag strives to work towards positive transformation for a number of not-for-profit organizations.

Bhavik Parikh is an innovative technologist, data architect, and researcher who has worked with multiple fortune 500 companies and provided B2C, B2B, and B2G solutions. He serves on various non for profit boards across Canada, the USA, and India. He has worked in various business domains including human resources, finance, space, health, pharmaceutical, and education. Bhavik has a bachelor's degree in Business Community Enterprise and Information Technology from the University of Liverpool and master's degree in Information Systems engineering from the University of Manchester.
